Park District Police Officers

Wood County Park District officers are Ohio Peace Officer certified law enforcement officers who exercise full police powers in the commission of their duties. Park officers have the same certification and training as other police officers throughout Wood County and the state of Ohio.

Officers patrol seven days a week using marked patrol vehicles, ATVs, bicycles, and on foot.

Programming and Education

Wood County Park Officers conduct a variety of programs during the course of the year.  Some of these programs are: Bike Safety, Fishing, Firearms Safety, First Aid and CPR*, Self Defense (R.A.D. Systems)*, and Hunter Education.  Rangers also offer student ride-along opportunities and career presentations.

In the event you need assistance while visiting one of your Wood County Parks, you can reach us through the following methods:

Emergencies:

Please remain calm during an emergency.  If you do not provide your location in a calm manner, the dispatcher may be unable to hear you clearly.  This may delay the response time.
