Adam Phillips Park &
The Wood County Historical Center

The southeast corner of the intersection of Interstate 75 and U.S. Route 6 is the location of the Wood County Historical Center and the Adam Phillips Park. The 51-acre site is owned by the Wood County Commissioners and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Formerly the Wood County Home and Infirmary, the site is now being developed as a historic and recreational facility under an agreement between the County Commissioners and the Wood County Historical Center Board of Trustees.

Through the efforts of the Wood County Historical Society, the old county home building is now utilized as the Wood County Historical Museum. The museum is home to many artifacts and a great deal of information regarding the history of Wood County and Northwestern Ohio, and gives a unique perspective into the history of the region.

Amenities on the site include:

  • Historical Museum
  • Hiking Trails
  • Picnic Tables & Grills
  • Restrooms
  • Horseshoe Pits
  • Herb Garden
