along Beaver Creek near Grand Rapids, Ohio

The Park District's newest acquisition is a lovely 18-acre parcel. It was purchased with the help of a 2005 Clean Ohio Conservation Fund award from Dr. John Kane and his wife, Linda, after Dr. Earl Campbell, a trustee of the Friends of Wood County Parks, told the Park District that the couple were considering selling the property.

Open to the public for general use like walking, but not yet open for facility-use, this park is in its planning stages and under consideration as a site for scout and other group campouts, with the small hunting lodge to serve as a retreat center for small rental groups and Naturalist programs. The Park District anticipates that little additional development will take place on the site, and the focus will remain on enhancing the existing natural areas and facilities.
With the purchase of a powerful telescope from Dr. Kane, called a "light burner," the Park District is excited to be able to offer more astronomy programs, some in conjunction with Bowling Green State University.

The largest through roads that intersect Long Judson Road where the park is located are Milton Road and Wapakoneta Road.
