This 51-acre site features the Wood County History Museum, a functioning oil derrick, nature trails, herb gardens and more.

This is a collaborative effort between the Wood County Park District, the Wood County Commissioners, and the Wood County Historical Society.

The Wood County Park District maintains the site grounds and holds the annual Folklore & Funfest event at the Historical Center in mid-October. Folklore & Funfest is free and open to the public.

The Wood County Historical Center & Museum is open from 8:00 am until 30 minutes past sunset everyday.

The Museum is operated by the Wood County Historical Society and employees. They have many great events throughout the year as well as excellent exhibits.
